Erection Stimulants

Several types of erection stimulants are available on the market, for instance: Viagra, Levitra, Cialis …

These medicines are used by men suffering from erectile dysfunction. This is when a man is unable to develop or maintain sufficient penile erection for sexual activity.

These medicines are NOT meant for people without erectile dysfunction!

BEWARE

  • Erection stimulants were originally intended as heart and blood vessel medicines. This is specific medication that should not be taken lightly, even if you are healthy. If you would like to know if it is suitable for you, ask your doctor for advice.
  • Erection stimulants may be dangerous for people with heart problems.
  • Erection stimulants may be dangerous when used in combination with other products such as poppers, cocaine, ...
  • Always stick to your doctor's prescription.
  • Never share your medicines with others; you never know how they will respond to them. This could have serious consequences.
  • Always buy your medicines at the pharmacy. That way you are sure of the product's quality.
  • On the black market lots of the products sold are fake. You do not know what is in these products. Be careful. They could be very dangerous.

How do they work?

  • Viagra and Cialis relax the penile blood vessels, allowing blood to flow to the penis when sexually aroused. This means sexual stimuli are needed. The medicines will not work without sexual arousal.
  • Erectile dysfunctions may also arise when the balance between the bodily substances that induce erections and those that terminate the erection is disrupted. Levitra regulates the balance between these substances.

Possible side effects

  • Headaches
  • Blushing
  • Dizziness
  • Stuffy nose
  • Blurred vision, (temporary) visual disturbances
  • Prolonged erection. This often ends up in the emergency room.

In combination with other medicines or heart problems

You should not use erection stimulants in combination with:

  • Medicines containing nitrate, such as poppers
  • Heart problems, such as low blood pressure, chest pains, etc.
  • Liver problems
  • Other erectile dysfunction treatments
  • Drugs or alcohol

They increase the risk of heart rhythm disorders, palpitations and heart attacks

Tip

  • An erection stimulant is prescribed for you personally. Never share your prescription or medicines with others. It may be harmful to them, even if they have the same symptoms.
